Department Store
BHV is your local department store. It is located in the block bounded by the Rue de Rivoli, the Rue des Archives, the Rue de la Verrerie and the Rue du Temple. The hardware section on the lower ground floor, known as ‘the toolbox of Paris’, is fascinating. BHV also has a men’s store in the Rue de la Verrerie.
Fashion
The Rue des Francs-Bourgeois and the streets running off and parallel to it are renowned for their fashion boutiques. Most open on Sundays and so attract crowds when most Paris department stores and boutiques are closed.
Food & Wine
(so many opportunities, so little time …)
For all food and wine shopping, just turn right as you exit the front door of the building. Between the Rue du Temple and the Rue Beaubourg you’ll find:

Tuesday–Saturday: 09.00–21.00
Sunday: 09.00–12.45

…and Greek (Dmitri’s is excellent), Italian and Asian delicatessens, bottle shops; a cheese shop, boulangeries/patisseries; chocolate shops (Huré has great baguettes); fruit and vegetable shops, a very good butcher (Boucherie Provins), a fishmonger.
There is also very good food shopping at St Paul, only one metro stop away, including:
A Monoprix

ground floor)
71, rue Saint Antoine
