Live like a local
We have been to Paris a few times and literally cannot think of a better place to stay (this is our second time at the Marais Louise). The location is perfect for walking to the Louvre and across the river to the 5th and 6th and the apartment itself is beautifully decorated and makes you feel you are getting the genuine Parisian experience (but with a better kitchen and bathroom!) This has been the most perfect stay in Paris.
Travellers today want to do more than work through a ‘tick-a-box’ itinerary of tourist attractions. They want to understand and experience how the locals live. They want to pick up tips on where to shop and eat and take time to enjoy life as it is lived on a daily basis in a foreign city.

Staying at the Marais Louise gives you plenty of opportunities to join in non-touristy Parisian life. You’ll soon be greeted as a regular in your favourite boulangerie / pâtisserie, at the supermarket or at the local market stalls. You’ll be enjoying a relaxing stroll in some of the Marais area’s ‘hidden’ gardens, a picnic in one of the local parks or an evening concert in one of the local churches.
The Marais Louise is an apartment for all seasons. If you’re there in June, you can join the locals at some of the huge range of free outdoor music performances that are part of the Fête de la Musique; from mid July to mid August, you can enjoy the beach scene at Paris Plages; on the first Saturday in October there’s the wonderful Nuit Blanche, an all night celebration of art and culture; and then in the winter months, there are two free ice skating rinks in the square outside Hôtel de Ville, Paris’s town hall. And there’s so much more no matter what time of year you visit. It’s all there waiting for you.
